Day 83 August 9th Travel to Kaycee WY
State 16 Wyoming
On our way to Kaycee, We Saw a wolf walking down the side of the road at the Little Big Horn museum. Then we toured the Little Big Horn battlefield. Inside there was a museum with weapons and uniforms from both Soldiers and Indians. Several stone markers show where soldiers fell. A large monument and a wall with the dead listed including little big man. On I 90 we spotted about 1/2 dozen Pronghorn grazing. Dear like animals Arrived and set up in Kaycee.
Day 84 August 10th Kaycee WY
Started at the visitor’s centre then toured the hoof prints of the past museum in Kaycee. A free museum with outlaw memorabilia and some structures outside. Then another adventure into the desert in search of the hole in the wall hideout and Outlaw Cave. After several miles of dirt road, we arrived in Hole in the wall country. It is more of an area than a specific place. Outlaw cave, on the other hand, is a specific cave. Another 2.5 miles of off roar really rugged trail we decide to turn back. Really nice drive and some spectacular red mountain ranges.
Day 85 August 11th Kaycee WY
Longmire Days in Buffalo WY. Loads of people there for the chance to see and meet the actors in the series. Got a picture of the sheriff’s jeep and Perused the various vendors. When we get home we’ll have to watch the series and see what it’s all about.
